Indira Patel, President and
CEO
Indira Patel is the President & CEO of New England Office Supply, Inc., Ms. Patel came to the US in 1971 as a student. She graduated the MBA program at Simmons College in Boston, in 1983. Until she became a business owner, Indira’s experience was in the health care field.
Ms. Patel was selected by President Clinton to participate in the White House Conference on Small Business in 1995. She has hosted a delegation of Fortune 1000 Indian Businesses (CII) at MIT’s Sloan School of Management and organized and participated in Indian Business Owners’ issues meeting with Congressman Joseph Kennedy, Congressman Marty Meehan and Congressman Peter Torkildsen.
Ms. Patel is on the Business Advisory Board of the Massachusetts Affirmative Marketing Program, a Member of the Simmons School of Management Business Advisory Council and a Member of the Board of Governors with NOPA. She was also on the Board of TriMega, a $2 billion purchasing group and also a Board Member of BPGI, which is a global purchasing group representing $12 billion in volume.
Dennis McCarthy, V.P. Operations
Dennis McCarthy is the Vice President at New England Office Supply. With almost 30 years of experience in the Office Supply Industry, Mr. McCarthy has managed all departments in the company. He currently oversees Finance, Human Resources, Margin Management, and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. McCarthy played an instrumental role in managing the acquisition and merger of three companies to form NEOS in 1993, as well as the acquisitions of several additional companies since that time. Mr. McCarthy is credited for increasing the operational efficiencies to handle the rapid growth of sales the company has seen since 1993. Mr. McCarthy also oversees all major supply and furniture contracts with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Mr. McCarthy also is a former member the Board of Directors of Tri-Mega, a National association of independent office supply dealers.
Previously, Mr. McCarthy served as General Manager at Business Products Unlimited where he oversaw all facets of the business and managed the purchase and implementation of inventory control, purchasing, order entry, distribution and financial systems.
Peter
Tracy, Director of Operations
Peter Tracy is New England Office Supply’s Director of Sales and Operations. As a seasoned inventory control and distribution veteran boasting 20 years experience, Mr. Tracy’s responsibility is to manage the Sales, Warehouse and Delivery departments for NEOS’ distribution center in Braintree. Mr. Tracy’s experience in rapid growth environments helps NEOS control costs while maintaining high service levels for customers.
Previously, Mr. Tracy worked at Boise Office Solutions, a premier multinational distributor of office and technology products, office furniture and paper.
Mr. Tracy graduated from Franklin Pierce College with a B.S. in Business Management.
Shawn
Ahearn, Director of Information Technology
Shawn Ahearn is responsible for driving the overall technology direction and system architecture evolution at New England Office Supply. Mr. Ahearn is also in charge of marketing, including product marketing, vertical market penetration, branding, field sales support, and corporate communications.
Prior to joining NEOS, Mr. Ahearn provided hosting operations management for Forthchannel, a business-to-business e-commerce software solutions company in Columbus, Ohio. Before that, he designed and implemented infrastructure advancements and cutting edge e-commerce solutions for Osram Sylvania, Inc., a subsidiary of Siemens GMBH.
Mr. Ahearn graduated from Bentley College with a B.S. in Computer Information Systems.
Katherine Bessette, Controller/Treasurer
Kathy Bessette brings more than ten years of progressive financial experience to New England Office Supply. Kathy was hired by NEOS as the Accounting Manger in September of 2004 and was promoted to Controller in December 2005. In addition to preparing all the monthly financial reporting, Ms. Bessette oversees cash management, accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, budget preparation, and payroll administration. Prior to joining NEOS, Ms. Bessette was the Controller of Adventures in Advertising, an Ad Specialty Company located in Quincy, MA.
Ms. Bessette graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a BS in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting.
Amee Patel Pant, Manager of Human Resources / Corporate Secretary
Amee Pant is the Manager of Human Resources at New England Office Supply. She oversees all functions of Human Resources including recruiting and benefits. She started at NEOS in 2003 as a Business Analyst and in a little over a year made a career change into Human Resources.
Previously Ms. Pant has worked in politics and non-profit organizations in Washington D.C. such as Organization for International Investment and Council on Hemispheric Affairs.
Ms. Patel graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in International Relations.
John Zaeder, Business Development Manager
John Zaeder joined NEOS in 1995 as Systems Manager. He became Director of IT then Director of E-commerce. He was responsible for hiring a replacement IT manager and moved into Sales as Corporate Account Manager. He took over as Purchasing Manager in October of 2003 where he was instrumental in developing and implementing the cost project. From Purchasing, John moved into Margin Management where he has overseen Bids and Margin Management through 2006. In 2007 John transitioned into Marketing and Business Development. Mr. Zaeder has extensive industry, system, NEOS specific and entrepreneurial experience.
Mr. Zaeder was a partner and General Manager of Boston Office Supply - an acquisition of NEOS and before that was Operations Manager at IMEX Management Sales, an import/export office supplies company.
Mr. Zaeder graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a B.A. in Business and Spanish.
Kevin Henry, Warehouse & Distribution Manager
Kevin Henry has worked in the office supply industry since 1991 and has an in-depth knowledge of warehousing and delivery. Mr. Henry’s prior experience includes of over 9 years with Business Products Unlimited and he was instrumental in the merger of the three companies to the Charlestown facility in 1994. Kevin was also a key figure in establishing the warehouse and delivery operations when New England Office Supply moved from Charlestown to its new location in Braintree. Mr. Henry is currently responsible for all areas of office supply warehousing and distribution.
Sean Clancey, Sales Support Manager
Sean Clancey joined New England Office Supply in 2002 as a Systems Analyst. He took on the role of E-Commerce Specialist in 2004, playing an integral role in harnessing technology to improve our customers’ experience. Mr. Clancey also joined the Marketing team in 2004, providing key insight, managing projects, and integrating E-commerce and CRM projects with Marketing initiatives.
He now heads up the Sales Support department with the goal of preparing his team for the next generation in E-commerce while simultaneously focusing the team on providing industry leading support and assistance to the sales effort.
Mr. Clancey graduated from Boston University with a BS in Computer Science.
